The coaxiallight is the ideal illumination for highly reflective and shiny object surfaces. They are also good for the illumination of transparent objects. A semi-transparent mirror projects the diffuse light parallel to the optical axis directly into the imaging path of the camera. This makes surface structures particularly well visible and prevents camera shadows on the object.
